Memory

Memory shapes how we view the world. It also fits a lens through which we construct the social and physical world we inhabit. Our Memory is of both personal and communal events. Memory is also spatial and tactile and physical.
Each painting begins with a grid frame that is a scaffold for memory. Then, within each frame is constructed a landscape of images. Memory is the protagonist that provokes the shape, form and color.
