Memory
Memory shapes how we view the world and forms a lens through which we construct the social and physical world we inhabit. Our memory is composed of both personal and communal events. It is spatial, tactile, and physical.
Each painting begins with a grid frame, as a scaffold for memory, and within each frame a landscape of images is constructed. Memory is the protagonist that provokes each painting’s shape, form, and color.
